How do you make the violence stop? What can we do to save Santa Ana?

xvireroca asked:

I live in a pretty bad area of my town, none the less, I’m committed to making my hometown as domestic as possible. There is a lot of violence where I live. Recently, less than 4 blocks away, a man caught a fly-by bullet right in front of his two children. Just this weekend 3 people where shot to death and several more were injured all within a mile radius. In the past 6 months there have been way too many (possible) gang related shootings in my town. The 92701-92707’s are being taken over by violence it seems. Orange county is facing some pretty bad times. Our County Treasurer was being accused of some scandal earlier this year, our County Sheriff was also involved in another scandal, and the credibility of the correctional officers at our local city jail has also been in jeopardy with the court for what is yet to be filed gross negligence. What did happen to Orange County since WW2, professor Humberto Caspa, and will it be in your new book ?? (Terror in the Latino Barrio)

Comparison of Culinary Schools in Los Angeles/Orange County Area?

Curious Cat asked:

Hi, I live in between LA/OC and am currently looking for a good culinary school in the area. So far, I’ve toured California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, CA and I heard there’s another one in Santa Ana, called The Art Institute and they offer culinary programs. At CSCA, it feels very very business like and they have a huge sales floor just to recruit students which doesn’t make me feel very good. However, they are the “education partner” of Le Cordon Bleu” in Paris, France…So..it’s really hard to decide. Has any one been to either or perhaps both of these before, if so, please kindly offer any feedbacks or suggestions?

California Behind the Wheel driving test?

I’ve been trying to get an appointment at Westminster because it is said that they are “easier” meaning that it’s more likely that one will pass on one’s first try. However, every appointment is taken. I tried at 12:00 AM and they were already gone for the next day. What is a better place to take it? Long Beach, Santa Ana, or Costa Mesa would be the next closest locations. But I heard that Costa Mesa is busier and it’s harder to pass.

Also, if you have any tips or reminders for the test, they would be greatly appreciated! :)
