When asked why? Police stated that someone the day before had reported someone coming out of her house with a weapon! This is impossible as she lives there alone and she was at work. She asked if someone was coming out of her house then why did they not come at that time and leave a card on her door as to what was happening? Myself and neighbor feel that this is harrassment because of an incident that happened down the street of a youth being beat up and arrested by police as a gang member during a sweep. The youth has never been in trouble or on probation and is not a gang member. But, they made an error and the neighborhood association made a ruckus about this youth whose employment and life was in jeopardy and blasted on t.v. during a press conference. We feel since she was the spokeperson for our group that she has been single out by the police. What can we do to ensure that they do not do the same thing to her?

I am supposed to go take my BEHIND THE WHEEL test for my liscense at the DMV tomorrow. I live in California, and my test location is in Santa Ana. Well, I know it says you are supposed to bring proof of insurance to your test. I just realized that my car insurance card expired on June 14th. I am with my dad’s insurance company (USAA) and he lives out of state. I called him, and he said that they sent him the new insurance card instead of me by accident, and that coincidentally they are supposed to be arriving at my house tomorrow. The problem is, the mail comes in the afternoon and my appointment is at 8:40am! Will they not let me take the test? That doesn’t seem fair because the card expired less than a month ago and I am definitely covered…like if they looked it up in a computer it would verify that I’m insured. Do you think they will still let me take the test or not? Thanks.

This has been miserable for a week now! The Santa Ana winds have brought in all of this hot desert air, and I am so tired of it. We get so little pleasant weather here, that I savour what little bit we get in the winter. I am just glad it is going to get cold again by the end of the week, and be back down in the upper 60’s.
